Shirley Jean Zwahlen A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000, in Ocean View Cemetery in Warrenton for Shirley Jean Zwahlen, who died Aug. 29 of cancer at age 62. Mrs. Zwahlen was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Erie, Pa. Her maiden name was Cowley. She moved to Portland as a youth and graduated from Lincoln High School. After moving to Seaside in 1962, she cleaned crabs for Buoy Boy for 14 years. She later managed Shilo Inns in Seaside, Portland and Warrenton. For the past two years, she managed Northwind Properties. In 1955, she married C. "Bud" Zwahlen.
