| Sally Louise West Sally Louise West, born January 14, 1930, in Brawley, California, passed away on July 16, 2006, in Kirkland, Washington. A longtime Bothell resident, she graduated from Roosevelt High School, Seattle in 1947. Sally had a magnetic personality and a great sense of humor. Sally was a truly kind person who cared about people and was always eager to help those in need. She enjoyed being with family and friends, reading, gardening, bird watching and rescuing forgotten pets. Sally was devoted to her family, and was especially close to her mother, Rose. The two of them looked forward to their annual van trips to Reno and their visits with Uncle Ed and Betty in California. Sally is survived by her children, Kathleen West-Evans (John) of Bothell, Matthew West, of Everett, Patricia West (Amanda) of Seattle, Sandra Portulano, of Bothell; cousin and childhood friend, Janice Hargett, of Everett; her cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Alison, Rachael, and Andrew; and numerous Carter and West family members. Sally was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Herbert C. West; and her parents, Lynn and Rose Carter. Though they miss her greatly, Sally's children are very proud of their mother and are grateful to have had such loving and wonderful parents. They know that their mom and dad are together again.
