Wilford 'Billie' Wilcox
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, in Pleasant Home Community Church for Wilford "Billie" Wilcox, who died Sept. 30 at age 82.
Wilford Akin was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Fortuna, Mo., where she was raised. She moved to Parkdale in 1946 and later lived in Portland before moving to Sandy in 1970. She was a homemaker as well as a seamstress for White Stag and Columbia Sportswear. In 1941, she married Hollice E.
Survivors include her husband; daughter, Gina Wheelon; son, Gary; sisters, Binford Fowler, Yvonne Lieding and Phyllis Nester; brothers, Gaylord Akin, Ted Akin, Dwight Akin, R.D. Akin, Dudley Akin and Darrell Akin; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
