Dorothea Mae Watson 01/17/04 Dorothea Mae Watson died Jan. 13, 2004, at age 87. Dorothea Bibeau was born July 22, 1916, in Hartford, Conn. She moved in the 1930s to Boring and attended Gresham High School. During World War II, she worked as a machinist at Swan Island. She moved in the 1940s to Portland, where she owned and operated Shanny's Tavern, and moved in the late 1990s to Tygh Valley. In 1947, she married George; he died. Survivors include her son, Henry "Hank"; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Arrangements by Spencer, Libby and Powell in The Dalles. Portland Oregonian
