| Kathryn White Kathryn Gladys Kellogg White passed on at Sunrise Haven, Kent, in the early morning of Friday, June 2, 2000. Her son, James Ross White of Tacoma, and a large, closely-knit extended family, of which she was the much-loved matriarch, survive her. Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania on August 21, 1905, she was the eldest surviving child of William Watson Kelly, Jr. and Anna Levin. She completed her education at Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio, and contributed actively to the artistic life of that area throughout her working career. She was married to Franklin Farwell White, originally from Hudson, Ohio, until his death in April 1984. She resided most recently, for eight years, at Union Park at Allenmore, now named Alterra Villas at Union Park, in Tacoma. She had been a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Lakewood since moving west about twenty years ago. She was remarkably clear of mind. Many friends and relatives remember her as a great lady.
