| Mary Wright Mary Wright, 80, a Sumner resident for over 40 years, was taken from us suddenly Sept. 11, 1997, in a pedestrian-truck accident in Sumner. She was born June 2, 1917, in Johnstown, PA. She and Owen Wright were married for 45 years from 1937 until his death in 1982. For many years Mary was very active along with her family in the Tacoma Mountaineers, Tacoma Mountain Rescue Council, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts and 4-H. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking, playing bingo and spending time with her family and many friends. She is survived by daughter, Mary Hurley, Seattle; son, Larry Wright,Kirkland; grandchildren, Mary, Laura, Alex, Kristine, Henry, Karen and Tim; great-grandchildren, Jordon, Tyler, Monique, Christopher and Peyton. Also survived by brothers, George Maksim, Monroeville, PA and Mike Maksim, Charleston Heights, S.C.; sisters, Anna Jones, Norfolk, VA and Pauline Florina, Bensenville, IL; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Maksim, Pittsburgh, PA. Visitation Thurs., 9 a.m.- 8 p.m., Powers Funeral Home in Sumner. Private family graveside service Fri. in Sumner Cemetery.
