| A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, in Vancouver Seventh-day Adventist Church for Norma L. Vail, who died Jan. 23 at age 70. |
| Norma L. Kriner was born April 26, 1933, in Du Bois, Pa. She received a nursing degree from Columbia Union College in Maryland and was a registered nurse in Nebraska, Maryland and Pierre, S.D., before moving to Vancouver in 1999. She was also a missionary nurse for 11 years for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Bechuanaland (Botswana), Belgian Congo (Democratic Republic of the Congo), Northern Rhodesia (Zambia) and the Ivory Coast. | Survivors include her husband; son, William E.; daughter, Wendy D. Gates; mother, Florence E. Kriner; sisters, Loretta J. Priest and Jacqueline J. Weseman; brother, James A. Kriner; and four grandchildren. |
