Norma L. Vail

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, in Vancouver
Seventh-day Adventist Church for Norma L. Vail, who died Jan. 23 at age 70.
Norma L. Kriner was born April 26, 1933, in Du Bois, Pa. She received a nursing
degree from Columbia Union College in Maryland and was a registered nurse in
Nebraska, Maryland and Pierre, S.D., before moving to Vancouver in 1999. She was
also a missionary nurse for 11 years for the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Southern
Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), Bechuanaland (Botswana), Belgian Congo (Democratic
Republic of the Congo), Northern Rhodesia (Zambia) and the Ivory Coast. In 1955, she
married Wayne R.
Survivors include her husband; son, William E.; daughter, Wendy D. Gates; mother,
Florence E. Kriner; sisters, Loretta J. Priest and Jacqueline J. Weseman; brother, James
A. Kriner; and four grandchildren.
