Ethel Gladys Vaillancourt
A service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2001, in Willamette National Cemetery for Ethel Gladys Vaillancourt, who died Feb. 10 at age 95. Mrs. Vaillancourt was born Aug. 1, 1905, in Marceline, Mo. Her maiden name was Childers. She lived in San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Eugene before moving in the late 1920s to Portland. She co-owned the Portland Cafeteria downtown from 1950 to 1957. In 1931, she married Joseph Arthur Vaillancourt; he died in 1972.
Survivors include her son, Gary; two grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are by Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel.
