They have two sons, Richard F. Milbrad (Peggy), of Electric City, WA and James L. "Jimbo" Taper, of Snohomish, WA. They have nine grandchildren, Doug Milbrad, Richard Milbrad, Terry Milbrad (Shannon), Tom Milbrad (Jenna), Teresa Milbrad, Dina Evanson (Steve), and Gene Milton; and step-grandchildren, Linda and Pam. They have 23 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and many many friends. Jimmy and Leona were married in 1950 and went together for 20 years before that. They both loved the outdoors. They spent man hours camping with family and friends. Dad loved to fish and hunt and Mom always went with him. She fished but stayed by the campfire while the men hunted. Jimmy was honorably discharged as a T-Sgt. from the United States Air Force in 1945. He received many medals of Honor and ribbons. They both loved music and played almost every weekend their house would ne filled with family and friends playing instruments. Jimmy played the accordion and many other instruments. Mom played the organ and guitar. She had a beautiful voice and sand with some big time bands that came to Seattle. Her voice was still beautiful at age 93. We would like to thank Providence Hospice for the many hours they spent lovingly doing their jobs. Especially, Joan, Heather and Charlie the Chaplain. And a big thank you to grandson, Doug Milbrad, who was by their side for over one year lovingly taking care of them. They will be missed by all of us and we send both off with all our love.
