| THOMAS, Carol Ann Dec. 7, 1939 - Nov. 10, 2008 This day came far too soon and we are all extremely saddened by the passing of Carol Ann Thomas, 68. Carol, a former resident of Alaska, passed away on November 10th, 2008 in Spokane, Washington. She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on December 7th, 1939, to John and Shirley Kinda. At the age of thirteen, she moved to Alaska with her family to homestead in Moose Pass. On January 19, 1969, Carol married the love of her life, Bruce LeMay Thomas, to whom she is now reunited. Together they raised seven wonderful children in Anchorage, Alaska. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother. Her passions included family gatherings, bowling, gardening, knitting and the slots! In 1979, Carol and Bruce moved the family to Spokane, Washington where they created a home of comfort and warmth that continued to bring the entire family together year after year. For over a decade, she touched the lives of many while working for East Valley High School. The students became like her children. After her many devoted years Carol retired from the school district. After retirement, she continued to enjoy her numerous hobbies cherishing the time with her soulmate of 36 years, as well as building memories with her family. Carol was preceded in death by her greatest love, Bruce Thomas; her beloved mother, Shirley Kinda; and her dear sister, Sandi Dye. Carol is survived by her seven devoted children, Jeff, Bob, Suzie, Debbie, Dawn, David, and Bruce Jr.; grandchildren, Cassi L., Jessica, Chris, Ryan, Ashley, Joshua, David Jr., Jami, William, Brittney, Ricki, Chelsie, Stevie, Jordyn, Alia, and Cassie R.; siblings Charles Johnson, and Patti Doyle; father, John Kinda as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
