| Virginia Lewis THOMPSON 86, died peacefully surrounded by her children in her home at Judson Park Health Center, Des Moines, Washington on February 15, 2003. Virginia was born on May 17, 1916, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She raised her family at 55 Pocono Drive in the suburb of Greentree where she lived until 1982. After retiring, she and her husband, L. Cook Thompson, moved to Seattle to be closer to their children. She loved people, music, sports, the theater, traveling, and above all, her family. During the last seven years of her life, Virginia enjoyed the company of the residents and staff of Judson Park, and the warm and loving friendships she found there. She is survived by her three children, Eugene and Laura Thompson, and Lisa Thompson- Cody, her five grandchildren, Amy Sutton, Lee and Grant Thompson, and Vanessa and Laura Cody, and her two great-grandchildren, John McPhilamy and Benjamin Thompson. There will be a celebration of her life at Judson Park Health Center from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18, 2003. Published in print on 2/17/2003. Seattle Times |
