Sarah Ellen Tarleton
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 19, 2001, in Mill Plain United Methodist Church in Vancouver, Wash., for Sarah Ellen Tarleton, who died Jan. 15 of a heart attack at age 75. Mrs. Tarleton was born March 15, 1925, in Gardena, Calif. Her maiden name was Burdick. After moving to Oregon City in 1949, she was the office manager for Delta Construction until retiring in 1975, then managed properties in the Portland area until her death. She was a member of the church, and lived in Vancouver for the past 11 years. In 1942, she married Jack Tarleton.
Survivors include her husband; sons, Drew, Randall and Jeff; daughter, Luann Davis; brother, Vincent Burdick; sisters, Martha Williams and Ruth Stanton; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to her church's memorial fund. Arrangements are by Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel in Vancouver.
