Joan C. Spoelstra

A memorial gathering will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2003, in Tigard Christian 
Church for Joan C. Spoelstra, who died April 13 at age 68. 

Joan C. Pochelu was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Paisley. She graduated from Oregon 
State College and was a teacher in Hazeldale and Barnes elementary schools in the 
Beaverton School District for 38 years. In 1960, she married Dr. Paul C.; he died in 
1975. 

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Clark; brother, John Pochelu; and sisters, 
Genevieve Coppola, Dorrine Leach and Marie Kaschko.
