| Daisy Belle Stigen Daisy Belle Stigen, age 93, a Sumner resident for the last 10 years, died March 4th, at her home. She was born in Fairfield, Missouri, spent her early life and attended schools there. She moved to Tacoma in 1934, and became the head chef, one of the first women in this position, at Steve#s Gay Ninety#s Restaurant in So. Tacoma. She moved to Sumner in 1990 to be near her family. Daisy was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Survivors include 1 son John D. Skinner and wife Barbara (Mayor of Sumner); brother John Ed McLerran of Warsaw, MO; sister Chesadena Ferguson of Kansas City, KS; 3 grandchildren Mike and Pat Skinner and Victoria Gosnell; 7 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in Missouri. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, March 9th at 11:00 AM in the St. Andrews Chapel with Father Tom Belleque, Celebrant. Burial will follow in Sumner Cemetery.
