| A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2001, in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Salem for Jordis Adele Schick, who died June 20 at age 73. Mrs. Schick was born Jordis Adele Benke on July 30, 1927, in Portland. She graduated from Washington High School and from the University of Oregon with a degree in journalism. She worked at several advertising agencies in Portland before moving to Salem in 1951, where she was an advertising free-lancer for several businesses and government agencies until her retirement. She was a volunteer for the Salem Boys & Girls Club for more than 20 years. In 1949, she married Harold R. Schick Jr. |
| Survivors include her husband; daughters, Becky Tooley and Susan Schick; son, Harold "Skip"; sister, Martha L. Ohlson; brother, Norman Benke; and three grandchildren. |
