SNYDER, Grace L. Measel (Age 88)
Of Boyers, PA, died at 5:50 AM on Friday, June 20, 2008 at the Caring Place in Franklin, PA.
She was born Wednesday, December 10, 1919 in Franklin Twp., Armstrong Co., the daughter of the late John Bunyan McGinnis and the late Mary Ellen (Atwood) McGinnis.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with her family. She retired from the housekeeping department at Butler Memorial Hospital in 1982.
Surviving are four daughters, Barb and John Wood of Corry , PA, Stella Dobritz of New Castle, PA, Grace and Paul Kittridge of Spokane, WA and Lois and Warren McClung of Boyers, PA; two sons, Lewis, Jr. and Doreen Measel of Erie, PA and Charles and Amanda Measel of Outlook, WA; 19 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Measel, Sr. who died May 19, 1979, a daughter, Rebecca Gray who died June 26, 1990, a great grandson, five sisters and two brothers.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9, Monday, June 23 at the YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 127 W. JEFFERSON ST., BUTLER, PA. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 at 11AM with Pastor David Barnhouse of Slippery Rock Baptist Church officiating.
Interment in the St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Connoquenessing, PA.
