Mary Catherine Sumpter 

Mary Catherine Sumpter died Sept. 5, 2006, at age 62. 

Mary Catherine Puffer was born June 5, 1944, in
Portland. She later lived in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and
La Crosse, Wis., until returning to Portland in 1954.
She graduated from Madison High School and was a cook,
including for the Reynolds and Centennial school
districts. In 1972, she married Fred; he died in 2001.


Survivors include her sons, Doug Leek and Dan Leek;
sister, Rebecca Puffer; and companion, Mark Renzy.
