| STIFFLER, Jeanette (Age 77) Of Cheney, Washington, passed away April 15, 2006 at her home in Cheney. Jeanette was born October 28, 1928 to Fred and Mabel Brodin in Stockton, California. In the early 1930's her parents bought a farm in the Four Lakes area where she grew up with five sisters and two brothers. Jeanette was a graduate of Cheney High School, class of 1946, and earned a BA in business education from Eastern Washington State College, now EWU. She also worked at the University as the manager of student employment. Jeanette was married to Bill Stiffler in 1946 and together they raised three sons. They enjoyed helping others and spent their retirement years giving back to the community they loved. Bill passed away in 1998, they were married 51 years. Jeanette had a joy for life and never turned down a person in need. She is survived by her sons, Bill Stiffler Jr. of Bel Air, MD, Robert Stiffler of Cheney, WA and John Stiffler of Boise, ID; five grandsons; her sisters, Rose and Freda; and her brothers, John and Joe. Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post #72, Box 245, Cheney, WA 99004 in her memory.
