| A service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2000, in Willamette National Cemetery for Agnes Pauline Smith, who died Sept. 3 at age 91. Mrs. Smith was born May 23, 1909, in Nogales, Ariz., and was raised in Lake Elsinore, Calif. Her maiden name was Lewis. She was a lifeguard at Lake Elsinore, a Spanish translator for the U.S. Postal Service, and then a licensed practical nurse in California in Camp Anza, Pomona, Riverside, and Loma Linda before her retirement in 1975. After her retirement, she worked in a doctor's office in Fall River Mills, Calif. She moved to Boring in 1976, where she was a member of Mt. Hood Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 1932, she married David H. Smith; he died in 1985. |
| Survivors include her daughters, Valerie Perkins, Lorelei Fegley and Narcissa Saladino; son, Dana; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. |
| The family suggests remembrances to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements are by Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes. |
