Helen Margretta Risk Helen Risk, 78, a 41 year Tacoma resident, was born in Johnstown, PA, and died May 19, 1998 in Lakewood. Mrs. Risk was retired from the Family Planning and Child Guidance Departments of the Tacoma- Pierce County Health Department. She was a member of Visitation Catholic Church and was an Army WAC during WWII. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1978. She is survived by her daughters, Margaret R. McElliott and husband Timothy, Tacoma, M. Kathleen Dugger and husband Edward, Tacoma, Nancy J. Nelson and husband Lon, Tacoma, Delores M. Schlentz and husband Michael, Pacific, WA; brothers Thomas and John Burns, Johnstown, PA; and 8 grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at Visitation Catholic Church. Burial Willamette National Cemetery, Portland, OR. The Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Thursday at the Piper- Morley Chapel, 5436 S. Puget Sound.
