Bertha Divyak Novak PAOVICH

Bertha was born December 7, 1911 in Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania, and passed away in Seattle on October 4,
2007. She will be greatly missed by her family and
friends who love her. Bertha was preceded in death by
her parents, Michael and Sophia Divyak, her first
husband, Nick Novak, and her second husband, Steve
Paovich, as well as her brother, Dan Divyak and
sister, Mamie Zinovich. Bertha is survived by her son,
Nick Novak and his wife, Diane, grandsons, Nicholas
Novak and Christopher Novak, granddaughter, Nichole
Dippie, great-grandson, Christian Bessette, as well as
nephews, Michael Divyak and Terry Divyak, and nieces,
Megan Divyak and Amanda Divyak . Bertha graduated from
Franklin High School in 1928 and Wilson's Business
College in 1929. She worked for a number of years in
the insurance industry as a secretary and department
head. Over the years, Bertha lived in Seattle, as well
as Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska. Bertha was a
member of the American Serbian Heritage Association
and the Pioneers of Fairbanks, Alaska, Auxiliary #8. A
Memorial Service will be held at Evergreen Washelli
Funeral Home, 11111 Aurora Ave. No., Seattle, WA, on
Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
