Jesse Lee Puckett, Jr. Jesse L. Puckett, Jr., 59, passed away October 19, 2003 at his home in Marysville, WA with his family by his side. "Jess" was in pursuit of his dream of living on a lake in his hometown in Texas when his life was cut short by cancer. Jess was born in Belton, TX, on June 25, 1944 and was the oldest of seven children. Jess touched many people during his life as he spent time living in Texas, California, Illinois, and for the last 23 years in Marysville. Jess will be remembered by his family and friends as a generous, kind man who loved his family, water skiing and warm weather. He was a loving father, and grandfather who always had time to spend with his four granddaughters. Jess was driven and dedicated to his career as an entrepreneur, working in the restaurant, real estate, and video store business. His wife of 33 years, Marilyn Puckett; his father Jesse L. Puckett, Sr.; and his sister Carol Wiggins preceded Jess in death. Jess is survived by his mother Mary Sue Puckett of Belton, TX; two daughters, Vicki Trenary and husband Ty of Stanwood; and Veronica Piazzi and husband Mirco of Camano Island; sisters, Mary Puckett and Janice Waggy of Belton, TX, and Betty Doss of Plano, TX; and brothers, Gary Puckett of Lorena, TX and Billy Puckett of Belton, TX. Jess also leaves behind his four cherished grandchildren, Ashlee, Alessia, Morgan and Nadia. Jess was very dedicated to his family. It has been a privilege to know such a kind and generous man and we will miss him more than words can say. A celebration of Jess's life will be held at Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home on Thursday, October 23, 2003 at 11:00am. Arrangements are in the care of Schaefer-Shipman Funeral Home, Marysville.
