| F. PAULINE (BEQUETTE) PRZASNYSKI Pauline Przasnyski died peacefully in Dallas, Texas on June 1, 2001 after a thirty-year struggle with diabetes. Pauline was born April 15, 1923 in DeSoto, Missouri, where she lived the first few years of her life, and moved to St. Louis around the time of World War II. There, she met her future husband, Edward Przasnyski, and they married im- mediately following his return from the war in January of 1946. A child (Edward) son followed and nine years later, another child (Kathryn) arrived to make their lives complete. Both of them emphasized the importance of education in the lives of their children, as neither had the chance to finish high school. Life can be full of terrible disappointments, as Edward Sr. died unexpectedly at the age of 44 in 1965, leaving Pauline a widow with two children. Pauline was down, but not out, and with the help of friends and family, continued to raise the children in the way both had wanted. Pauline was ex- tremely proud of the fact that not one, but both children graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia with MD degrees. She then moved to both chil- dren's# houses over the years to help raise her grandchildren. First, she moved to Washington State where she helped Ed and Barbara raise their two children, Jeremy and Nikki; then, subsequently, to Dallas, Texas to help Kathy and Marty (Simon) raise their four boys, Jason, Joshua, Justin and Jonathan. The last few years she has lived in the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Dallas under the watchful eye of her daughter Kathy. It is with a sense of purpose and the grace of God that she passed away on the birthday of her husband, Eddie, whom she is joining now and smiling down on her children and grandchildren, proud of a life well-lived, devoted to family. Services will be in St. Louis, Missouri on June 11, 2000. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the Diabetes Association of Pierce County in her name, the family would be most appreciative.
