Raymond Elwood Pochel 

Age 91, died Jan. 19, 2003 in Rancho Mirage, CA. He was born Nov. 13, 
1911 to Charles Elkarah Pochel and Hattie E. Shepard in Wenatchee, WA. 
He was a self-employed oil distributor for 60 years, with his primary 
business in Tacoma, Washington. He is preceded in death by his first wife, 
Florence A. Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth R. of Palm 
Desert; his son, R. Eugene of Poway; his daughter, Cathy Ann of Phoenix; 
four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. A memorial service will 
be held at Chapel Hill Presbeterian Church, Gig Harbor, on Feb. 20, 2003 
at 1:00 pm. Burial will be private at Mountain View Memorial Park in 
Tacoma. The family suggests memorials to the V.N.A. Hospice of Palm 
Desert, 42-600 Cook Street, Suite 202, Palm Desert, CA 92211. Pub Date:
