Eleanor Opseth-Poehler 7/9/1918 to 1/1/2003 Eleanor Opseth-Poehler passed away January 1, 2003 in Puyallup, WA. She was born on July 9, 1918 in Madison, Minnesota. Eleanor was the oldest of 10 children born to Peter and Ella Olson. She married Harry Opseth in 1941 and in 1950 they moved to Sumner, WA. She started her career in Real Estate in 1954 and owned and operated the Spartan Agency in Sumner for over 30 years. Eleanor and Harry enjoyed many years of working on their lake property, traveling and camping until Harry passed away in 1980. Eleanor met Elmer Poehler through mutual friends and they married in 1984. Together they enjoyed traveling and gardening until he passed away in 2000. Eleanor was a member of the Puyallup Eagles Auxiliary and a life member of the Puyallup V.F.W. Auxiliary. In addition to her parents and husbands, Eleanor was preceded in death by her son, Don Opseth, and siblings Doris Davies, Phyllis Haugen and Peter Olson. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Carol Whaley and husband Glenn of Puyallup; 5 grandchildren, Martin, Brian and Nathan Opseth, Amy Ziegeinbein and Jennifer Noland; brothers Lee and Donald Olson, sisters Marcy Fischer, Lorraine Ramey, Eunice Williams and Lois Olson.
