Vincent Stephen PODBIELANCIK 

Age 86. Died peacefully January 11, 2002 at Kelsey Creek Hospice in 
Bellevue. Born Janu ary 10, 1916 in Rossland, British Columbia. In 
1951 he married Linda Anderson. He was a member of the Seattle 
University Chemistry Faculty from 1947 to 1981. Vincent ws preced 
ed in death by his wife; his sister, Helen Albee; brother, Joseph; and 
three grandchil dren, Marita, David and Fiona. He is survived by his 
daughter, Roberta Podbielancik- Norman; son-in-law, Wayne 
Norman; grand sons, Daniel and Iain Podbielancik-Norman of 
Hamilton, Ontario, Canada; nephew, Vincent Albee of Rhode Island; 
sister-in-law, Lissa Anderson of Seattle; and many cousins in Oregon, 
Georgia and British Columbia. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 
Wednesday, January 30th, at 10 a.m. at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 
4400 130th Pl. S. E., Bellevue. Interment, Holyrood Cemetery, 
Shoreline. Hoffner Fisher & Harvey Remembrances may be made to 
the Vincent Podbielancik Memorial Chemistry Fund, c/o Seattle 
University, Dept. of Chemistry, 900 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122.
