In her life she had many hobbies: writing, poetry, golfing, cross-country skiing, walking in the park, traveling, and enjoying her grandchildren. She loved the holidays and being with family and friends; she was a great hostess and loved to entertain. Peggy had a great sense of humor and was always quick to tell a good story or a joke. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Leonard W. Bast Jr., in 1979 and her beloved husband, Leonard W. Bast, in 1980. On May 15, 1993 Peggy married Win Podszus and resided in Lakewood, WA. In their years together they shared much joy, love and happiness. Peggy leaves behind her loving and devoted husband, Win Podszus; her daughters, Kelly Bast-Glerup and Colette Perez; sons-in-law, Corky Glerup and Michael Perez; and her grandchildren, Amanda, Alex and Benjamin, whom she cherished dearly. Also surviving her are her sisters and brother, Georgia Hall, Helen Henson, Sue, Sara and Bob Christian of Missouri. She is also survived by Win Podszus's children, who loved and readily accepted her as their second mom: Cherylann Minnis, Stephen, David and Richard Podszus; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Nicolas and Sara Caitlin. Peggy's unconditional love, elegant beauty and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
