Robert Boyd Noel
Robert Boyd Noel, age 67, died June 20, 2003 in the presence of his loving family after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease. He resided happily and comfortably at Martha & Mary Health Services in Poulsbo, WA.
Bob was born and raised in Pennsylvania, where he graduted from the University of Pittsburgh in 1962 with a Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Engineering and Business Administration. He lived at the University and was a fraternity brother in Sigma Alpha Epsalom. Bob also served in the Air Force Reserves and was a member of the Masonic Temple, Granite Falls Eagles Club, and Port Townsend Elks Club.
Bob is survived by his wife, Irma, his daughter, Lynne Surdyk, and his granddaughter, Karissa Surdyk, who reside in Arlington; his son, William Noel and wife Lisa, who reside in Mission Vejo, CA; his sister-in-law, Martha Noel, and nephew, Andrew Noel, who reside in Pennsylvania; and his niece Jennifer Hohman and her husband, Dan and family, residing in Kansas.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard A. and Grace Noel; and his brother, Bernard A. "Bernie" Noel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Parkinson's Disease Association, Washington St. Chapter, P.O. Box 75169, Seattle, WA 98125-0169.
Funeral Services and reception will be held on June 27th at 9:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 1120 Walker St. in Port Townsend. Graveside Services and internment will take place at 3:00 p.m. on June 27th at the Arlington Cemetery, in Arlington, WA. Services will be officiated by Pastor Donald Cornell.
