Dorothy Brosamer NEAL

Passed away 10/23/01, just a few days before her 86th birthday. Born
October 28, 1915 in Kansas City, MO. Dorothy grew up in Topeka,
KS, the youngest of 8 children. Dorothy had a sharp wit that carried
her through fun times at Washburn University, years of employment at
the University of Washington and into her retire ment. She was a proud
college graduate, work ing hard to complete her degree after her chil
dren were born. Dorothy moved to Seattle just after WWII where she
made many new friends. She had a lifelong interest in theater and was
an early member of the Gilbert & Sullivan Society where she
contributed on-stage and also by sew ing costumes and volunteering in
many ways. In her younger years Dorothy was also active in the
Mountaineers hiking club and liked to travel extensively. She is survived
locally by her son John Neal and his wife, Kathy, her grandchildren,
Patti Neal Howley (Tim), Chris Neal (Angela), Scott Neal and by her
great-grandchildren Payten and Addison. She also survived by her
daughter, Diana Thompson of NJ and grandson David Thompson
(Sonja) of ND and many nieces and nephews throughout the country.
At her request, a Private Family Memorial will be held.
