| Helmi Sofia McCORMICK Helmi McCormick,95, of Seattle passed away April 29, 2004. Born November 24, 1908 in Plumville, Pennsylvania, her family settled in Hartford, Washington in 1909. Helmi settled in Everett when she married in 1927. She owned and operated a beauty shop on 18th and Broadway in Everett for 19 years, she lived in Port Angeles for eight years then settled in the lower Queen Anne district in Seattle. She retired from the Olympic Hotel in 1964. Helmi is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years Gordon McCormick and granddaughter Marta Lewis. She is survived by her daughter Winifred Olson of Oceanside, California, two grandsons, one granddaughter, four great granddaughters, six great- great grand children, sister Linnea Lundberg of Squim and brother Melvin (Kay) Halldin of Oroville, WAshington and greatly loved nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Seattle. A special thanks to Kay Benesic and all members of the church for all their help and support. A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 10, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, Everett, Washington.
