| James Alfred Medlock died Sept. 19, 2005, at age 87. |
| Mr. Medlock was born March 12, 1918, in Ava, Mo. He served in the Army during World War II and moved to Portland in 1952. He was a mechanic for Harold Robson's Portland service station. In 1946, he married Mae Wells. |
| Survivors include his wife; daughters, Renee Sinclair and Joan Johnson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. |
