CSM JOSEPH E. MEASSICK

US ARMY RETIRED Born on 1 August 1933 in Hackett, PA; died
at home in Steilacoom, WA on 18 March 2002. Joe proudly served in
the US Army for 30 years, including 2 tours in Vietnam. At the time of
his retirement, he was Command Sergeant Major of the 9th Infantry
Division, Fort Lewis, WA. He worked for a civilian contractor at Fort
Lewis for 10 years before fully retiring. After that, Joe spent many
hours doing volunteer work for Mount Rainier National Park. Joe is
survived by his wife of 48 years, Eva; sons James (Lisa Marie) of New
Mexico and Steven (KellyMcCarthy) of Wisconsin; 4 cherished
granddaughters, Ariane, Marika, Katerina and Johanna; 1 brother and
4 sisters. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Funeral
Home, Garden Chapel, Steilacoom Blvd., Tacoma, at 11 AM on
Friday, 22 March 2002. Committal with Military Honors will take place
at Taho- ma National Cemetery at 3 PM on Friday, 22 March 2002.
