| Beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away at her home at the Ida Culver House/Broadview, in Seattle, on Dec. 30, 2001. She was born May 13, 1916 in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Friends Select School as well as the University of Pennsylvania. She taught school in Philadelphia, Miami, and Havana, Cuba prior to her marriage to Roy M. Maning in 1943. Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Walter of Seattle, Chan (Lynn) of Burien, Robert of Redmond; daughter Helen Almy (Gerald) of Port Orchard; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister-in-law Elizabeth Lockard of Ca., as well as many friends. At her request there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests all memorials be made to Northwest Harvest, 711 Cherry St., 98104 or Providence Hospice of Seattle, 425 Pontius Ave. N. 98109.
