| George F. MASTERS Of Des Moines, 77, born 7/18/1924 in Joplin, MO. Passed away 5/19/2002 at Valley Medical Center. George was the only child of Mildred Alberts Imhoff ad Benton Masters, stepson of Kelly Imhoff. His grandfather George Alberts was associated with the Pastime Tavern in Kent for many years. George graduated from Kent High school in 1943. Following gradua tion he entered the U.S. Coast Guard and served until the end of WWII. Upon returning to Seattle he became an X-Ray Technician at the Old Marine Hospital on Beacon Hill. In 1951 he went to work for the VA Hospital. He retired in 1980 as Chief X-Ray Technician. During this period of time he also worked part time at the old Renton Hospital and then Val ley Medical Center where he continued work ing for Orthopedic Specialist Don Hubbard, M.D. in Renton. Survived by his wife, Geri, Des Moines, daughter Cynthia (Brent Bar ron), Renton, son, George (Linda) Sumner, stepdaughter, Deborah Giomi (Joe), Yering ton, Nevada and their mother, Jeanne Masters, SeaTac. Two grandchildren, Kelsey and Ben Masters, two step granddaughters, Cheryl and Carrie Giomi. Viewing Thursday, 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service Friday, 11 a.m. both at Edline-Yahn Funeral Chapel, Kent.
