Paul Evan Mattern Paul Evan Mattern, 38, of Tacoma, died November 16, 1998. He was born in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, and was an eleven year Tacoma resident. Paul worked for the Metropolitan Park District at the Point Defiance Zoo. Survivors include his parents, J. Gray and Jeannette Mattern, Jr., of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania; sisters, Susan Mattern and husband Andres Montes, of Tacoma and Sarah Mattern of San Francisco, California; brother, David Mattern and wife Leslie, of Alturas, California; niece, Adrianna Mattern, of California, and nephew, Andres Gray Montes, of Tacoma; and grandmother, Marybelle Hunt, of South Carolina. Visitation will be Friday, November 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Lynn Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Saturday, November 21, at 11:00 a.m. at Lynn Funeral Home.
