Harry C. Manning
A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008, in Willamette National Cemetery for Harry C. "Pete" Manning, who died July 4 at age 88.
Harry C. Manning was born Sept. 28, 1919, in Crystal City, Mo. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He moved to Hubbard in 1961 and was a custodian for the North Marion School District before moving to Happy Valley in about 2000. In 1946, he married Wanita Alvina Held; she died in 2007.
Survivors include his daughters, Rita McCain, Alanna Manning and Ava Van Velsor; sons, Aaron and Mark; sister, Gertrude French; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
