Perla Miles Perla Miles died Feb. 8, 2008, of cancer at age 89. Perla Carrasco was born Nov. 20, 1918, in Nogales, Ariz. A homemaker, she lived in Reseda, Calif. and Oceanside, Calif., before moving to Tigard in 1999. In 1951, she married Paul Miles; he died in 2004. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Halseth; sisters, Olga Gomes and Lucy Garnados; and brother, Eli Carrasco. Remembrances to cancer research at Oregon Health & Science University Foundation.
