David J. Murray A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, in Willamette National Cemetery for David J. Murray, who died Dec. 11 at age 62. David J. Murray was born April 29, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He served in the Marine Corps in the Vietnam War for two tours and moved in 1978 to Vancouver, where he was chief of ambulatory care at the VA hospital. He transferred in 1984 to Vermont, where he was a patient advocate for another VA hospital. He returned to Vancouver in 1998. In 1982, he married Diane L. Cheek. Survivors include his wife; son, David D.; daughter, Cara Kristina; stepson, Michael Francis; stepdaughter, Rebecca Francis; brother, Arthur D.; and four grandchildren.
