Mary Louise Martin

Mary Louise Martin, 83, a devout Catholic, of Everett,
WA, has joined her husband, Leo H. Martin Sr., of 44
years in Heaven on March 15, 2007.
She is survived by her son, Christopher L. Martin, of
Spokane, WA; son Joseph R. Martin, of Lake Stevens,
WA; daughter Cheryl J. Martin, of Woodinville, WA;
daughter Mary K. Martin, of Marysville, WA; daughter
Theresa A. Clark, of Selah, WA; Lisa L. Martin, of
Everett, WA; Cecilia M. Martin, of Shoreline, WA;
Martha G. Padilla, of Marysville, WA; Leo H. Martin
Jr., of Bothell, WA; Amy S. Martin, of Stanwood, WA;
along with 27 grandchildren; seven
great-grandchildren; and many more friends and family.

Mary was born in Winslow, Arizona, on April 1, 1923
(No Foolin'), and grew up in Douglas, Arizona. She
eventually moved to San Diego, CA where she met her
husband Leo in 1943. Mary and Leo were married in
1944. They moved to Kansas where Leo began working at
Boeing Aircraft Co. and they started their family. Her
husband's work brought them to Washington state. Mary
was a very devoted stay-at-home mother until 1968.
After moving to Washington from Kansas, she went back
to work to help support her 10 children. She found
work as a caregiver at the Josephinum in Seattle, WA,
where she retired to travel and care for her husband,
Leo.
After her husband's death in 1989, she traveled abroad
to England, Wales, and Ireland, and then to Mexico.
Her hobbies include bingo, blackjack, cribbage, and
sharing time with her grandkids. In Mary's last years
she was cared for so lovingly by the wonderful staff
of doctors, nurses, caregivers, and her beautician
"The Bethany at Pacific".
A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m.,
Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at Immaculate Conception
Church, 2501 Hoyt Ave., Everett followed by a Mass at
11:00 a.m. Interment at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park.
A visitation will be held at 10 - 8 p.m., Monday,
March 19, 2007, at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy.
