David K. Marsh
David K. Marsh died Jan. 16, 2001, of colon cancer at age 56. A memorial
service was held. Mr. Marsh was born March 20, 1944, in Tucson, Ariz. He
moved to Portland as a child and as a youth to Salem, where he graduated
from South Salem High School. He served in the Oregon National Guard.
He started working for the Mt. Bachelor ski resort as a rope tow operator in
1967 and worked his way up, becoming executive vice president in 1985
and president and chief executive officer in 1988. He retired two years ago.
Survivors include his daughter, Anne Marsh Jenkins; brother, Matt; sisters,
Sally A. Marsh and Pamela A. Schultz; father, Robert C.; and companion,
Lisa Chisholm.
Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the
High Desert Museum, 59800 S. Highway 97, Bend, OR 97702.
Arrangements were by Niswonger, Reynolds & Tabor Funeral Home in
Bend.
