| David K. Marsh died Jan. 16, 2001, of colon cancer at age 56. A memorial service was held. Mr. Marsh was born March 20, 1944, in Tucson, Ariz. He moved to Portland as a child and as a youth to Salem, where he graduated from South Salem High School. He served in the Oregon National Guard. He started working for the Mt. Bachelor ski resort as a rope tow operator in 1967 and worked his way up, becoming executive vice president in 1985 and president and chief executive officer in 1988. He retired two years ago. |
| Survivors include his daughter, Anne Marsh Jenkins; brother, Matt; sisters, Sally A. Marsh and Pamela A. Schultz; father, Robert C.; and companion, Lisa Chisholm. |
| Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the High Desert Museum, 59800 S. Highway 97, Bend, OR 97702. Arrangements were by Niswonger, Reynolds & Tabor Funeral Home in Bend. |
