Dr. Fred C. Lorish

A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2004, in St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church for Dr. Fred C. Lorish, who died April 7 at age 87.
Dr. Lorish was born July 9, 1916, in Allentown, Pa. He graduated from Muhlenberg College and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He lived in Portland from 1946 until 1949 while he did his residency at St. Vincent's Hospital. He had a private practice in Medford and returned to Portland in 2001. In 1941, he married Mary Shepherd; she died in 2001.
Survivors include his sons, Fred and Thomas; daughter, Mary Jahn; and six grandchildren.
