| A service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, 2002, in Willamette National Cemetery for Frank H. Laurent, who died Jan. 29 at age 74. |
| Mr. Laurent was born Aug. 8, 1927, in St. Louis. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. He moved in 1951 to Portland, in 1971 to Canby and in 1997 to Salem. He was a welder and later a supervisor for Bingham Willamette for 32 years, retiring in 1986. He taught welding classes in Portland Community College in the late 1970s. In 1950, he married Donna J. Soles. |
| Survivors include his wife; daughters, Cheryl McFarland and Darla Mahoney; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. |
