| Zelda Roschelle LEVINTHAL Zelda Levinthal passed away on Monday, Jan uary 14th after a long courageous battle with Cancer. She was 52 years old. Zelda will be lovingly remembered by her husband George, their son and daughter, Bryan and Maegan, and her brother Gilbert of Pittsburgh, PA. She will also be remembered by the countless young ladies that have fondly called her mom as well as her many friends and family mem bers. She was at peace knowing that her friends and family had been able to see her and remember her feisty personality and warm, caring heart. Zelda was born on May 17, 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she lived until 1967 when she moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles, California with her parents, Harold and Faye Braverman. Zelda finished her high school ed ucation at Alexander Hamilton High School, attended Santa Monica College and obtained her nursing certificate from the California Vo cational School of Nursing. She became a Li censed Vocational Nurse and worked in sever al hospitals and clinics, including 10 years at Cedar Sinai Medical Center. Zelda met her husband George in 1967 and they were mar ried on May 25, 1975. Both Bryan and Maegan were born in Los Angeles. In 1992 the Levin thal family moved to the northwest, settling in Redmond where the family still lives. Zelda obtained her nursing license in Washington and has worked in numerous clinics where she made many friends in the medical profession of which she was very proud. Zelda's love was her children and devoted her life to them. From the time Bryan and Mae gan became involved in gymnastics Zelda and George became permanent fixtures at her gym, Santa Monica Gymnastics Center, and eventually co-presidents of the team booster club. Every girl on the team would call her mom and came to Zelda for everything from cuts to broken hair bands. She was always there for everyone. Zelda and George coached both Bryan and Maegan's soccer teams and later became group commissioners in AYSO Region 19 in Culver City, CA. After moving to Redmond, Bryan and Maegan continued in soccer and so did Zelda and George. They be came team managers for Maegan's soccer team, FC Eclipse from the Lake Washington Soccer Club and later co-tournament direc tors for the club's soccer tournament held every year. Zelda was "Mom" to all the girls on every team Maegan played on treating their bumps, bruises and broken hearts. To this day she is still mom to all of them. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 16th at 3 p.m. at the Hills of Eternity, 520 West Raye, on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Susan B.
