lovingly remembered by her husband George, their son and daughter,
Bryan and Maegan, and her brother Gilbert of Pittsburgh, PA. She will
also be remembered by the countless young ladies that have fondly
called her mom as well as her many friends and family mem bers. She
was at peace knowing that her friends and family had been able to see
her and remember her feisty personality and warm, caring heart. Zelda
was born on May 17, 1949 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she lived
until 1967 when she moved from Pittsburgh to Los Angeles, California
with her parents, Harold and Faye Braverman. Zelda finished her high
school ed ucation at Alexander Hamilton High School, attended Santa
Monica College and obtained her nursing certificate from the California
Vo cational School of Nursing. She became a Li censed Vocational
Nurse and worked in sever al hospitals and clinics, including 10 years at
Cedar Sinai Medical Center. Zelda met her husband George in 1967
and they were mar ried on May 25, 1975. Both Bryan and Maegan
were born in Los Angeles. In 1992 the Levin thal family moved to the
northwest, settling in Redmond where the family still lives. Zelda
obtained her nursing license in Washington and has worked in numerous
clinics where she made many friends in the medical profession of which
she was very proud. Zelda's love was her children and devoted her life
to them. From the time Bryan and Mae gan became involved in
gymnastics Zelda and George became permanent fixtures at her gym,
Santa Monica Gymnastics Center, and eventually co-presidents of the
team booster club. Every girl on the team would call her mom and came
to Zelda for everything from cuts to broken hair bands. She was always
there for everyone. Zelda and George coached both Bryan and
Maegan's soccer teams and later became group commissioners in
AYSO Region 19 in Culver City, CA. After moving to Redmond,
Bryan and Maegan continued in soccer and so did Zelda and George.
They be came team managers for Maegan's soccer team, FC Eclipse
from the Lake Washington Soccer Club and later co-tournament direc
tors for the club's soccer tournament held every year. Zelda was
"Mom" to all the girls on every team Maegan played on treating their
bumps, bruises and broken hearts. To this day she is still mom to all of
them. Services will be held on Wednesday, January 16th at 3 p.m. at
the Hills of Eternity, 520 West Raye, on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle. In
lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Susan B. Komen
