| A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2001, in Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary for James Larkins, who died Jan. 20 of gastrointestinal bleeding at age 69. Mr. Larkins was born July 24, 1931, in Philadelphia. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a dairy feed nutritionist for Farmers Feed & Supply, retiring in 1992. He was a Cornelius resident for the past 33 years and served on the City Council from 1973 to 1980 and was mayor from 1983 to 1988. He married Irene Hoffert in 1955. |
| Survivors include his wife; sons, James D., John R. and Daniel L.; daughters, Julie Larkins, Janet Peterson, Jill Crowell, Mary Huson and Amy Andresen; sisters, Betty Dworak and Chris Schweizer; brothers, Ed, Lee, Bill and David; and 21 grandchildren. |
| Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the American Lung Association of Oregon. |
