David Boyd Ludwig Jr.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, in St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church in Beaverton for David Boyd Ludwig Jr., who died July 7 at age 84. Mr. Ludwig Jr. was born July 25, 1916, in Pitcairn, Pa. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University (University Park), then served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for life insurance companies in Pittsburgh and then owned an agency until retiring in the mid-1980s. He moved to Portland from Tustin, Calif., in 1989. In 1943, he married Mary Lou Devereux.
Survivors include his wife; sons, David III, Albion, Thomas and John; daughter, Margaret Reinhold; and eight grandchildren.
