Anna Karscig
Anna Karscig, age 88 of Pinehurst died on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Pinehurst. Anna was born on November 27, 1919 in Pittsburgh, PA to the late George Yaksich and Mary Stepanovic Yaksich. She was a homemaker. Anna was a loving and beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Karscig, Sr. and two brothers Sam and George Yaksich. She is survived by two sons: John Karscig, Jr. and wife Johanna of Pinehurst, and George Karscig and wife Peg of Gig Harbor, WA.; two granddaughters, Lauren and Elise; one great-grandson Jaylen. A private memorial service will be held. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Pinehurst Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, PO Box 5309, Pinehurst, NC 28374-8474. Boles Funeral Home of Pinehurst is serving the family.
