Patricia Ann KOEHLER Born October 8, l933 in Rosebud, MO., to the Rev. Carl and Paula Schmidt, Pat passed away September 6, 2002 in her home near Port Orchard, WA., after a courageous struggle with cancer. Upon graduation from St. John's College in Winfield, KS., she served as a schoolteacher at Lutheran schools near St. Louis, MO. She wed the Rev. James Koehler in l957, and they made their first home in Oklahoma City, OK., where their three boys were born. They also lived in Columbus, OH., and Renton, WA. She retired from The Boeing Company after 12 years of service in 1989. She is survived by her husband, James; sons Thomas, John (Keven), and Matthew (Amy); grandchildren, Erin and Adam; sister Muriel Uffelman; and brothers Carl (Dickie) Schmidt, Ralph (Ilse) Schmidt, and Joel (Mary) Schmidt. A Memorial Service will take place Sept. 15 at 6 p.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church in Renton. Remembrances may be made to Lutheran World Relief or a benevolence of your choice.
