Kermit F. KOPPENHAVER

Born September 17, 1924 in Millersberg, Pennsylvania; died December 19, 2003 in
Seattle. Joined the U. S. Army in May 1943 and served in the Army Air Corps until his
discharge in May 1945. He served seventeen and a half months in England and was
arecipient of the Presidential Unit Citation, European Theatre of Operations Ribbon with
six stars, and the Good Conduct Ribbon. After being discharged from the military he
moved to Seattle and joined the Boeing Company. He worked for Boeing as an
engineer until his retirement in 1986. "Kope" loved the outdoors, golf and tinkering with
his automobiles. He is survived by his sister, Mary Koppenhaver of Millersberg, PA, and
his close friend and confident, Wilhemina "Mickey" Salgado of Seattle. Interment,
