JULIAN, Clara E. ''Elaine'' (Age 81)

Elaine passed away in Spokane on Tuesday, May 2nd,
2006. She was born in Willits, California, October
16th, 1924, to George and Clara Brooks. Elaine did her
undergraduate study at Santa Rosa, CA. and her nursing
studies at St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing, San
Francisco, CA. As a Registered Nurse, Elaine worked
for the VA Hospital (Surgery) in San Francisco until
1955, when she transferred to Seattle, WA. In 1959,
Elaine resigned from nursing, married Richard Julian,
and started a new career as a devoted homemaker for 47
years. She loved square dancing, playing cards, and
teaching new Americans about our great country. She
was a member of the Hall of Mission, Rebekah Lodge
#225 in San Francisco from 1952 - 1960. Elaine is
survived by her husband Dick; daughter, Patricia of
Arlington, WA; and brother, Jack Brooks, Fort Bragg,
CA. Elaine's ashes will be scattered around a
monument, atop a mountain, near Arlington, WA., where
they will join our son's, in a private service. In
lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial offerings
to Hospice of Spokane.
