| Dorothy M. JOST 72, passed away peacefully June 4, 2004. Dorothy or "Mitzie" to her friends, was born April 23, 1932 in McKeesport, PA. She is survived by her sons Lawrence and Richard of Seattle; sister Jean Dwornick of Monongahela, PA.; nieces; nephews and many good friends. She was preceded in death by husband John in 1998 after 41 years of marriage. They married in 1957 and lived for a time in Dearborn, MI., where their sons were born in 1957 and 1958. In 1961 they moved to the Seattle area, where John would go to work for Boeing. She was devoted to her husband and sons, keeping the family running in all the ways large and small that weren't always fully appreciated at the time. She was an avid cook, fan of murder mysteries and a cat lover. She will be greatly missed by her sons and many friends. Remembrances in her name may be made to the Humane Society or PAWS. A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, July 8, 2004, 7 p.m. at the Monte Villa Farmhouse, 3300 Monte Villa Parkway, Bothell, WA. Published in print on 6/13/2004. Seattle Times |
